❍ The economic effects of hosting 2014 Asian Games in Incheon were analyzed not small.
❍ Direct and indirect strategic and related projects of 2014 Incheon Asian Games will have substantial effects on the production and overall local economy. Especially the construction investment and domestic and international tourist/ visitor consumption will create the major economic effects.
- In addition to the new construction projects for hosting 2014 Asian Games, Incheon's basic urban planning projects such as the construction of Metro Line 2 and tourist and leisure complexes in Yeongjong area will have substantial economic effects even after the Asian Games.
- Besides these macro economic effects of hosting 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, other visible and invisible effects such as vitalized investment inducement, increased export, and tourist promotion will be possible with the enhanced image of the hosting city through the city's increased publicity abroad.
